Buyer’s Home
Inspections

When you are buying a home, you need more than a basic checklist. You need an inspector who understands construction, recognizes the conditions commonly found in area homes, and clearly explains what deserves your attention.

WHY IT MATTERS

Experience That Makes a Difference

Homes are rarely as simple as they appear during a showing. Older construction, additions, remodeling, repairs, moisture, and deferred maintenance can all affect the condition of a property.

PRO-TEC Inspections was the first home inspection company in Upper Michigan and remains one of the region’s longest-established inspection companies. Our family-owned father-and-son business provides detailed home inspections throughout Upper Michigan and Northeast Wisconsin.

PRO-TEC combines decades of experience with practical knowledge of:

  • Older homes
  • Rural properties
  • Basements and foundations
  • Additions and remodeling

We are typically on site for three to four hours. The actual time depends on the size, age, condition, and complexity of the property. Older homes, rural properties, and properties with additional buildings may require more time.

It can be helpful to attend at least the final portion of the inspection. This gives us an opportunity to review the more important findings, answer your questions, and help you become more familiar with the property. If you cannot attend, your report will include detailed written explanations and extensive photo documentation, with general views of the home and property. Video may also be included when a condition is better shown in motion. We also remain available after the inspection to answer questions about the report.
