Larry Wall
Larry entered the construction industry in the early 1970’s shortly after high school working in a window and door manufacturing plant in central Wisconsin. From there he worked in a mobile home manufacturing plant and performed over the road service work for the manufacturer. In 1980 he moved his family to Menominee MI where he purchased a masonry and concrete construction business.
Larry ran the construction business for over 20 years expanding into home building, remodeling and light commercial construction. In mid 1980’s, Larry noted a need in the area for home inspection services. It was then that he founded PRO-TEC Home Inspections. He took some time off from the construction business and traveled to Detroit, Chicago and the Twin Cities taking in seminars and training courses in the Home Inspection field. By 2001 he sold the construction business and focused entirely on Home Inspections. While operating the home inspection business Larry also contracted with several local governments to administering over $3 million in State and Federal funded housing rehab grant programs. During this time he also contracted with State of Michigan to provide Housing Quality Standards inspections and also with multi-state service agencies providing REO foreclosure inspections and winterization services on HUD owned properties throughout Upper Michigan.
In 2001, Larry became the first home inspector in Michigan to be certified under the State of Wisconsin’s licensing laws. Larry is also an InterNachi (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors) Certified Professional Inspector holding multiple specialty certifications. By 2015 Larry’s focus was strictly on home inspections. In 2017 he expanded by bringing his oldest son, who is also a licensed builder, into the home inspection business. Joe is currently performing excellent inspections allowing Larry more time to focus on marketing and further building the inspection business.
Over the years, Larry has been very active in the Menominee/Marinette community. He was a founding member of River Cities Habitat for Humanity and was the longest serving member on the Board of Directors. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Fuller Center for Housing River Cities and is also Board President for the Tri-County United Way, serving on that board for over 20 years. Larry also keeps busy managing a hobby farm with his wife and with hands-on remodeling and renovation activities on his rental properties and other family member’s homes.
